Third graders are bringing math to life in dance class! After solving multiplication problems, students used their answers to create unique "Chance Dances"- inspired by modern dance legend Merce Cunningham. 💃🧠
Good evening Tiger Families! As we wind down the school year, we have just a few more events to hold and celebrations to have! This week, we will honor our teachers as we celebrate Teacher Appreciation Week, Monday thru Friday! Each day will be a day to show our teachers how much we appreciate their hard work, dedication, and commitment they show each day! Please make sure that you "thank a teacher" each day! Also this week, Tuesday thru Thursday, our 2024-2025 Yearbooks will be on sale in the Media Center for $15. Please send your student with cash only. On Thursday and Friday, our Theatre Arts Department will have a live public showing of their much awaited for and anticipated musical! The show will begin each night at 6:30pm. Get there early for a great seat! Tickets are $5.00. Remember that EOGs begin next week, May 12th! As always our tardy bell rings at 7:55am! Please make sure that you have your student at school before that time. If you arrive after that time, please sign your child in at the front office. WB Wicker is excited to announce our Duke Energy Science Night Wednesday April 30, at 4:30 PM!
Join us in exploring science, technology, engineering and mathematics through engaging hands-on activities such as making Magnetic Paintings, testing Ring Gliders, creating Straw Flutes, and much more!
The Science Night is an opportunity for you and your child to explore STEM together! Hands-on activities will introduce a range of science, technology, engineering, and math topics in a way that is fun and easy to understand. You won’t want to miss this chance to learn together while making Magnetic Paintings, testing Ring Gliders, creating Straw Flutes, and much more! The whole family is invited to attend.
We welcome students and families for a night of science and fun! Our 4th Grade Students will also be presenting their Wax Museum.
Our fourth graders are exploring Capoeira in dance class! Capoeira is an Afro-Brazilian art form that combines dance, music, and martial arts 🥁🤸🏻♀️

Good evening Tiger Families! Whew, we have had some busy weeks and another one coming up this week! Let's brace ourselves for the end of the end; it's going to fly fast! This week we are inviting all ESL parents to come out on Tuesday, April 29th from 4:30 until 5:30pm, for our ESL Parent Night. Our teachers will have great information to help you close out this school year with EOG testing information, updates on ACCESS testing, getting connected for next year with Campus Parent, and much more. On Wednesday, April 30th, we will host our Duke Energy STEM Night! We are excited about this because our students have worked so hard on their Science Fair projects that will be on display, our live Wax Museum that will be on display, and all the stations that will be set up for students and parents to create, build, and have fun with STEM! Mr. Stinson and our staff have worked hard to put this event together and we hope that you will come out from 4:30 until 6:30pm to enjoy it all! Also, on Wednesday, April 30th, for all rising sixth graders that will attend West Lee Middle School, they will be hosting their 6th Grade Parent Night Session from 6:00-7:30pm. They will have staff on hand to answer any questions that you may have about middle school and making the transition. Also, we are encouraging all rising sixth graders to apply for the Middle School AVID Programs. Please reach out to the middle school that you are supposed to attend for more information and the application process. All three middle schools are still taking applications.
