Tuesday, October 8th Wear your favorite Western Wear or Jersey for Hispanic Heritage Day!

We are so proud of Ms. Angela Matthews and the Marching Band! They did amazing last Saturday at their band competition. They travel to Hope Mills this weekend for another competition. Make sure you visit Southern Lee for the last home band performance of the year, Friday October 25th. You can also watch some football against Union Pines before and after the band performance.

Completing the required paperwork to apply for scholarships, financial aid and the FAFSA is not easy. Seniors and their parent/guardians should attend this event to successfully navigate how to pay for: college, community college, trade school. Be ready to learn FAFSA tips!

TODAY is NC State Day! Don't forget to look around the halls for teachers with NC State posters outside their door to learn more about their programs.

These are important dates for students! The end of the first quarter is Wednesday, October 15 so make sure you check in with your teachers about any missing work and deadlines. Don't forget there are two teacher workdays for Oct 16 & 17. Your Q1 grade is 40% of final grade.

Think Pink on Friday! Remind all the adult women in your life to have their check up every year! We have several breast cancer survivors who each at Southern Lee. We are also thinking of the Hudzik family with the loss of Marcia, former SLHS teacher.

Ms. Amanda Davis, Southern Lee math teacher, and her fiancé welcomed twin boys on September 17th. The newest Cavaliers are Landon Ray Smith and Davis Walker Smith . We know the twins bring them immense joy, countless cuddles, and a lifetime of cherished memories.

On Friday we will wear pink to promote breast cancer awareness. We will have a honor/recognition between the 1st and 2nd quarter. Any LCS employees who are breast cancer survivors or those who would like to honor a close friend or family member are welcome to participate.
