Congratulations Ms. Lisa Smith, FLK's Bus Driver of the Year!

❤️♿️❤️Today at FLK, we celebrated International Wheelchair Day a few days early. March 1st is an important occasion that celebrates mobility, accessibility, and the achievements of wheelchair users worldwide. In honor of the day we wanted to raise awareness about the challenges faced by people who use wheelchairs while also recognizing the progress made in improving their rights and independence. Check out our album below for all the smiling parade participants!

Reminder-Falcon Family Night- All About Kindergarten is tonight!

The FLK Preschool classes had a visit from Byron Wortham of Holly's Nest @Holly'sNestAnimalRescueInc. Mr. Byron and his wife, Kim, are local wildlife rehabilitators here in Lee County. They save everything from squirrels to raccoons to hawks to eagles. They're wildlife rescue is in memory of their late daughter, Holly, who passed away in a tragic car accident. Holly loved animals and created Holly's Nest in her memory. Kim and Byron are a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization meaning they solely rely on the support and donations from the community. We invite Mr. Byron to come to FLK every year during our Arctic Animals/Hibernation themed weeks to talk to us about what he does. He enjoys speaking about what he does and how to help the animals that are native to North Carolina.
If you would like to help donate anything towards Holly's Nest, please click on their wishlist here -> https://www.amazon.com/hz/wishlist/ls/19EAC0IP56LIN?ref_=wl_share
Byron and Kim are amazing and we thank you for all you do for our community!
