🦅Friday we celebrated “We Are the Falcons!” with our Falcon Olympics for the 4th year in a row! What a special day it was for our students to show off their talents, determination, and school spirit. From start to finish, the energy, smiles, and cheering made it an unforgettable event!
🤩We are so proud of our amazing students and all the hard work they put into preparing for today. Watching them shine and celebrate their accomplishments was truly the best part of Spirit Week!

💛💙Yesterday’s Spirit day theme was “We Are Special!” Our students and staff showed their support by wearing mismatched socks as we celebrated World Down Syndrome Day (March 21st) a little early.
🧦We wear mismatched socks because chromosomes are shaped like socks, and people with Down syndrome have an extra chromosome (3 instead of 2 on the 21st pair). The fun, different socks are a simple way to celebrate uniqueness and start conversations.
🪩Our school was filled with bright colors, fun patterns, and lots of smiles as everyone proudly rocked their unique socks. To make the day even more exciting, we had a school-wide Sock Hop! Students danced, laughed, and celebrated what makes each of us special.
🫶We love taking time to celebrate the amazing differences that make our school so wonderful. Today was a joyful reminder that being different is what makes us special!

Yesterday’s Spirit day theme was “We Are Magical” and our students and staff showed their magic by wearing their favorite Disney apparel! From princesses and superheroes to classic Disney characters, the school was full of magical spirit yesterday! 🏰✨
✨🎩To make the day even more special, the entire school enjoyed an amazing magic show with David! Students were amazed by the tricks, laughs, and surprises throughout the show. The excitement and smiles in the room were truly magical! The students were so excited to see all the animals as well!!

Our students and staff showed off their creativity by wearing all kinds of holiday shirts — from St.Patrick’s Day, Christmas and Halloween to Valentine’s Day and everything in between! It was so fun to see the halls filled with so many festive looks all at once.

Ms. Weekly and Ms. Craig’s classes visited the Lee County Library today! We were greeted by the wonderful Kathleen who showed us the children’s section, helped us complete a scavenger hunt and treated us with a book. We ended our trip engaging with amazing story time kits that are available to check out. We had a blast!
We were honored to learn that we were the last group of students to visit the Suzanne Reeves Branch. We are excited to check out the new location this May!

We were so lucky for LCHS Show Choir to come visit us today!! They sung a selection of Disney songs to our school and it was awesome!!! Thank you so much!
Kindergarten Transition Night is coming up on March 12th at 5:30pm! This is for anyone currently in PreK who will be going to kindergarten next school year! Please see the attached flyer for more details! Childcare will be provided BUT you need to sign your child up! Scan the QR code on the flyer to sign up!!
We had so much fun doing our Dr. Seuss Scavenger Hunt around the school yesterday!! 5 different Seussy clues led our friends around the school to the end where a Lollipop and photo opportunity awaited them!!!

The elementary classes had an absolute blast at San-Lee Park! A huge shoutout to Dani for introducing us to Lady, the fabulous yellow-bellied slider. We also had a great time meeting the other critters at the Nature Center and exploring Egbert’s Corner.
💚💙Today we celebrated International Wheelchair Day a few days early. Our school parade was full of smiles, school spirit, and lots of movement as we honored the strength, independence, and determination that wheelchairs represent every single day. From decorated wheels to cheering friends, the energy was unstoppable!

🎳Yesterday, our Elementary and High School students were knocking down pins and making memories. They practiced their bowling skills, celebrated one another’s successes, and enjoyed time together at Buffaloe Lanes Erwin Family Bowling Center.

❄️ SNOW place like PE ❄️
⛄️Last week our students had the opportunity to pretend to play in the snow during PE. Smiles, laughter, and shredded paper filled the gym and maybe even the hallways and sidewalks! We had SNOW much fun!
📣A huge shout-out to Mrs. McVay and her friends at Sanford Industrial Storage and Delivery Thomas Transport for generously donating all the bags of shredded paper!
