Deep River 3rd graders were visited by Mike "Thunder" Cranford and Jeannie "E Nah Dah" Cranford, Native Americans from the Cherokee Tribe for a presentation of their heritage. Students have been learning about Native Americans and it was an honor to have a visit from the pair. Students were able to see them in their regalia, learn about their homes, the foods they ate, the animals they hunted, weapons they used and items they created. Having the chance to see and touch items that they had learned about was exciting for our students.
