Broadway Elementary School

Today was a day full of love, candy, smiles, and lots of cowboys and cowgirls around campus! 🤠💖 Students celebrated Valentine’s Day in their classrooms, sharing sweet treats and thoughtful cards with one another. Our staff kept the fun going with another Underground Spirit Friday Western style and “Nothing But a Cup!” The creativity was amazing! Staff also shared their favorite crockpot recipes with one another and everything was absolutely delicious! 🍲❤️ We had an absolute blast this Friday the 13th! Enjoy the photos below, and remember there is no school on Monday, February 16th. We’ll see everyone back on Tuesday! 💕

📘 Math Focus: Equivalent Fractions! 🍕➗

Yesterday, Mrs. Siegfried’s class started learning about Equivalent Fractions! Students explored how different fractions can represent the same value, even when they look different. She used visuals, models, and hands-on activities to support understanding.

Ask your child to share what they learned about fractions! 💙✨

Underground Spirit Week 🤫😹 Today, our staff dressed up as game characters or in gaming-related outfits! 🎮🕹️ Our students loved the surprise 😦 smiles 🙂 everywhere as they recognized their favorite characters, called out their names, and laughed at the fun characters walking around the school. 🤭

🌋 Learning in action! 🌍 Mrs. Currin’s and Mrs. Billings’ classes explored how volcanoes change the Earth by learning about eruptions, lava flow, and how new land is formed. Students were engaged, curious, and excited as they discovered how powerful natural forces shape our planet! Hands-on learning makes science come alive! 🔬✨
