Artstober is in full effect at the Lee Co. Board of Education Meeting! The Southern Lee Jazz Band performed "Fly Like an Eagle" made famous by Steve Miller Band & WB Wicker's Dance Class showed off a new step routine to celebrate the importance of arts education for all students.

NC Check-Ins Testing will be administered October 21st-25th. RTA Testing will be administered on Thursday, October 24th. Please make sure your child(ren) are on time each day and get plenty of rest at night! These test will only affect students in Grades 3-5.



Mrs. Brummett and her fifth graders toured the Lee County Library where they became Librarians in Training! We're so proud of our students!





Mrs. Jennings’ 1st-grade class ended their unit on force with an exciting hands-on activity—painting with magnets! The students had a blast exploring how different forces can create unique art. To top off the week, they made colorful hats to celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month!

The classroom with the most participants will win delicious Mexican candy and chocolates! Let’s come together to honor and celebrate the rich cultures and traditions of Hispanic Heritage. Lee County Schools is partnering with Downtown Sanford, Inc., Visit Sanford and others to collect items for our neighbors in Western NC who have seen their communities and homes devastated by flooding. You can send donation items on the list below with your child to school or you can deliver your items to the Visit Sanford Welcome Center (229 Carthage St.) from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday.
