Visit LCHS on Friday May 3rd from 6-8 pm for the LCHS vs SLHS Faculty Basketball Game. This exciting event is hosted by the National Technical Honor Society. The Cavaliers need you to fill up the stands, especially since this is a road game. Admission is $5.

It's back! The Southern Lee Plant Sale returns tomorrow from 10a-2p at the greenhouse behind the tennis courts. Students from Ms. Knowles horticulture classes have been working hard to have these beautiful plants ready for you and your home. See you tomorrow at SLHS!

Please note that the FUNdraiser is for the Special Olympics Unified Sports team starring our very own Cavaliers. This is not part of the Men's or Women's basketball program. Teachers who would like to view the game can see Ms. Charpia on the $20 donation to the team.

Due to expected inclement weather this afternoon and evening, all after school activities have been cancelled for today.

Due to high winds, we have lost power at several schools. At this time, we do not plan to release students early given the current conditions. Power is estimated to be restored between 11-11:30am. We will continue to monitor conditions to ensure the safety of students and staff.

Please note all after school activities including 5th block, tutoring, attendance make up and athletics have been cancelled for Thursday, April 11.

Phone apps and software can do many functions, but they can never replace Mr. Gore. We appreciate his years of service to both the staff and students at Southern Lee. With the naming of the Cletis Gore Stadium, he'll never be forgotten.

Our area experiences a partial solar eclipse today from 1:57-4:28 pm. The maximum partial eclipse in Sanford is at 3:14 pm. A few reminders: It is NEVER safe to look directly at the Sun. Looking at the Sun, even briefly, can cause permanent damage to your retinas and even blindness. The only glasses which are safe for using are those labeled as ISO 12312-2 certified. Regular sunglasses, swimming goggles, smartphones, cameras, and telescopes are NOT safe for looking directly at the Sun. Outdoor activities within LCS will be limited until after 4:30 p.m. Have fun and stay safe!
