IT'S NOT TOO LATE TO SIGN UP!! JROTC ADVENTURE CAMP!!!!! Open to all rising freshmen & any LCHS students who would like to learn about JROTC curriculum and activities. August 5-7, 8-12 a.m., in the LCHS JROTC area. Participants will learn air rifle and archery skills, orienteering, rope bridge, and customs and courtesies to the flag. Transportation to & from will NOT be provided but snacks and water will. Please email dlynch.ls@lee.k12.nc.us to reserve your student's spot or if you would like more information.

Host families are needed for exchange students for the 24-25 school year. Exchange students bring cultural diversity and understanding to their schools, communities, and families. Families can be married couples with or without children or even single people. As long as they are willing and able to provide a loving home, a warm bed, 3 meals a day, and basic transportation - any type of family will work. Please note that students will pick up PARKING PASSES during this scheduled time as well. IB students must first contact the IB coordinator about their schedules prior to speaking with a counselor. Also last night at the BOE meeting, the appointment of Robert Newby to the position of Principal at Lee County High School was approved. Mr. Newby has demonstrated strong leadership in his tenure at East Lee Middle and we look forward to his work at his alma mater, LCHS.
