Day 4: We are BOLD!
🧢Today was Crazy Hair Day or Favorite Hat Day, and we saw some amazing, wacky hairstyles and awesome hats!
📣Our school-age students participated in their third and final pep rally today in anticipation of the Falcon Olympics. Mrs. Lewis led the group in spirited school cheers and chants, energizing both students and staff. She also facilitated a fun activity for the staff, followed by a student demonstration of one of the upcoming Olympic events.
💙💚It has been a joy to come together each morning this week to build excitement and prepare for the big day. Don’t forget to wear your FLK attire or school colors, blue and green, tomorrow!!

Happy World Autism Awareness Day!
💙Today, we showed our support by wearing blue and Bluey shirts! Autism is a spectrum, meaning each autistic individual is unique in their strengths, challenges, and the way they experience the world. By increasing understanding and fostering inclusion, we create a more accepting and supportive environment for everyone.
🕵️♂️ Some of our classes even participated in a blue-tastic scavenger hunt, following clues and exploring campus to find all things BLUE!

💛💙Friday was World Down Syndrome Day 💙💛
🧦Did you know? The tradition of wearing crazy, colorful, and mismatched socks on World Down Syndrome Day (March 21st) started because chromosomes look like little socks under a microscope! People with Down syndrome have an extra 21st chromosome, which is why we celebrate on 3/21.
🪩Today, we danced the day away at our Sock Hop, rocking our wildest socks to spread love, awareness, and inclusion! From polka dots to stripes, every pair reminded us that differences make the world brighter.

🏒🥅❤️A day full of slapshots, saves, and smiles! Mrs. Lewis’, Ms. Crissman’s, Mrs. Hendrick’s, and Ms. Reece’s classes all went to the Fayetteville Marksmen Education Day Hockey Game. We had a goal-tastic time! Our students had an unforgettable day full of excitement, cheers, and great memories!
