Community Partners helping student dreams come true.
Last year when Deep River Elementary's Student Government decided on a fundraiser, they hoped to raise $35,000 for updated playground equipment on the lower grades playground. Thanks to a generous $35,000 donation from Wake Stone Corporation and the generous giving of so many others in the community, the SGA and school raised over $60K and was able to fully fund the playground renovation AND make updates to the upper grades playground as well.
This story is a true testament to what can be done when a dream meets support and generosity. Read more about today's ribbon cutting at Deep River Elementary School here: https://www.lee.k12.nc.us/article/1761331
