Thank you to Flats Springs Baptist Church for hosting a staff lunch today!! This was originally planned to be our beginning of the school year lunch but due to the hurricane, we rescheduled it to today!! Our staff loved the time to enjoy each other's company and eat the yummy food!



Good morning! Please do not forget that we have two teacher workdays on Thursday & Friday October 17 & 18th! We look forward to having students back on campus on Monday October 21!



Do not forget that Deep River will have our book fair the week of October 21! We have family night on Tuesday October 22 from 4 pm to 6 pm! Families can add money to an online account for their student to use at the book fair. Information about setting up an eWallet can be found on the book fair website. You can even set up an eWallet for yourself to ask friends/family to support your classroom or students. Students will be given the opportunity to shop during their resource time.



Good morning! Deep River will have our first NC Check-In starting October 23 to October 29 for grades 3 to 5 students. We encourage all students to be present for their NC Check-Ins, so they do not need to make them up on their field trips dates. Bus 18 students are now leaving campus on sub bus 178. We apologize for the delay. Our students did take the time to work on their homework with teachers and enjoy the nice weather during the wait!

Can you believe it is already October? Deep River has a busy month ahead of us with great events going on the next couple of weeks! Please mark your calendars for the following events! If you have any questions, then please let us know!



Deep River will have our red ribbon week starting October 28 to November 1! Students are encouraged to participate by dressing up for each day's specific theme!


Thank you to everyone who has already donated items for Western NC! Please do not forget that Deep River Student Council and Lee County Schools are collecting items! Feel free to drop off items throughout the day! Deep River hopes to deliver the first round of items at the end of next week. 💙🐊💚
