Congratulations to Mrs Shontria Jackson for being named Deep River’s Teacher Assistant of the Year for 2026-2027! Mrs Jackson was voted by her peers for this honor! Mrs Coggins and Ms Monjar surprised Mrs Jackson with the news on Friday!

Today is School Lunch Hero day! We are so thankful for Mrs. Dillon, Mrs. Jeffries, Mrs. Barbour, Mrs. Barrow, and Mrs. Harrison for everything they do for us! Thank you for keeping our students healthy & full, so they are ready to learn!

Our 1st to 5th grade students had a great fun run yesterday and our kindergarten students loved it today! Thank you to everyone who donated, participated, and celebrated our students! We appreciate your support!!!







3rd, 4th, & 5th families, please do not send in the signed retesting letter and the encouragement note! We want to get everything collected by Friday May 1st! These documents were sent home on Monday!


We will have our End of Year state testing the week of May 11th to May 19th! Families, we are sending home three different testing documents today with students. Please make sure to fill out the blue retesting letter and green encouragement note for your students! We need these documents back by Friday May 1st!

Our kindergarteners had a special visitor, the Lorax, today! They discussed Earth Day and made special headbands! 🌎

Today is Administrative Professionals Day! We are so thankful for Mrs. Campos, Mrs. Coggins, Mrs. Gaines, and Mrs. Michels! Thank you for supporting our front office, staff, students, and families each and every day! We do not know what we would do without you!

Mark your calendars! Lee County's Festival of the Arts will be on April 25 from 9 am to 12 pm at WB Wicker Elementary School!
