West Lee Middle School cordially invites 8th grade students and their families to attend the 8th Grade Promotion Ceremony on Friday, May 22, 2026.
Two ceremonies will be held as follows:
• 8:30 a.m. (doors open at 8:15 a.m.)
• 10:00 a.m. (doors open at 9:45 a.m.)
Due to limited seating, each student will receive three tickets. Tickets will be distributed on Monday, May 18, and are designated for a specific ceremony time.
Students are expected to dress appropriately for this special occasion while adhering to the school dress code. For safety reasons, high heels are not permitted.
Following the ceremony, there will be a brief opportunity for photographs and student sign-out. Students may also remain until the 12:15 p.m. dismissal.

La Escuela Intermedia West Lee tiene el honor de invitar a los estudiantes de 8º grado y sus familias a la Ceremonia de Promoción de 8º Grado, que se llevará a cabo el viernes 22 de mayo de 2026.
Se realizarán dos ceremonias en los siguientes horarios:
• 8:30 a.m. (las puertas abren a las 8:15 a.m.)
• 10:00 a.m. (las puertas abren a las 9:45 a.m.)
Debido a la capacidad limitada, cada estudiante recibirá tres boletos. Los boletos se distribuirán el lunes 18 de mayo y serán válidos únicamente para el horario asignado.
Se espera que los estudiantes se vistan de manera apropiada para esta ocasión especial y cumplan con el código de vestimenta escolar. Por razones de seguridad, no se permiten zapatos de tacón alto.
Al finalizar la ceremonia, habrá un breve espacio para tomar fotografías y firmar la salida del estudiante. Los estudiantes también pueden permanecer en la escuela hasta la salida a las 12:15 p.m.

Today, West Lee Middle School successfully conducted a tornado safety drill. Students practiced moving quickly and safely to designated shelter areas while following staff instructions.

Attention 8th Grade Students & Families!
Next Week, our 8th grade students will be attending a field trip to visit the local high schools. This trip will give students the opportunity to learn more about their assigned high school, programs and expectations as they prepare for the transition to 9th grade. Please ensure that permission slips are signed and returned. Students should dress appropriately and be prepared to represent our school positively. 🦁
