Parents, please review the following communication from Mr. Peterson in regards to Field Day: Due to yesterday's rain the field conditions are decent but still pretty wet and risk ruining the equipment needed for the dry games. So, we are pivoting to plan B which will be just water games and popsicles. Please see below for the graphic for your child's scheduled time. Thank you for your flexibility! It should still be a very fun day for our kids :)

Your child should be bringing home a flyer with their team color listed. If you don’t see it, no worries—each class will be wearing the same color this year. Just reach out to your child’s teacher to find out what color to wear.
Please note: Water games are part of the fun and students will get soaked! If your child would like to participate, be sure to send a towel and a change of clothes.

🎓🐾 Senior Walk Success! 🐾🎓
Today we had the honor of welcoming the seniors from Southern Lee High School for their Senior Walk through W.B. Wicker Elementary School! Our Tigers lined the halls, cheering them on and celebrating all they’ve accomplished. 💙💛
We are especially proud to celebrate our 4 W.B. Wicker graduates who participated today not only as graduates—but as college graduates pursuing advanced degrees, including Master’s and Doctorate programs! What an incredible full-circle moment for our students to see what their future can hold and the many paths to success ahead of them.
From elementary hallways to high school graduation—and all the way to advanced degrees—we are so proud of each of you. Your journey is inspiring the next generation of Tigers every step of the way! 🐅💙💛
Students arrive in the morning ready to get a quick Science lesson from Dr. Jett, our AIG teacher on Day 9 of Embryonic development of the chicken. Dr. Jett welcomes in any student at that time to watch the egg process on its 21 day timeline.
On April 30th, W.B. Wicker will shine BLUE 💙 in honor of Child Abuse Prevention Month. As a proud North Carolina Community School, we are committed to supporting the whole child and raising awareness of statewide initiatives that protect and uplift our children 💙.
