PURPLE STAR. Being our first school to earn the NC Department of Public Instruction’s Purple Star Award is not just an honor. It documents how J. Glenn Edwards Elementary has made a special commitment to serve military families and help their students thrive. 🪖 Providing stability for students’ often-chaotic lives is just one link between our schools and the United States military. Students are now preparing for public service in high school JROTC programs and several graduates now attend our nation’s service academies. #LCSthrive
