The elementary classes had an absolute blast at San-Lee Park! A huge shoutout to Dani for introducing us to Lady, the fabulous yellow-bellied slider. We also had a great time meeting the other critters at the Nature Center and exploring Egbert’s Corner.

💚💙Today we celebrated International Wheelchair Day a few days early. Our school parade was full of smiles, school spirit, and lots of movement as we honored the strength, independence, and determination that wheelchairs represent every single day. From decorated wheels to cheering friends, the energy was unstoppable!

♿️International Wheelchair Day (March 1) is a global day that recognizes the positive impact wheelchairs have on so many lives and celebrates the incredible individuals who use them.

🫶We are proud to be a school that celebrates ALL abilities and the power of movement for ALL!!!

😍We are also grateful to the staff at Buffaloe Lanes for their warm hospitality and for making our group feel so welcome.

PTO Meeting
Due to inclement weather and unsafe road conditions, all schools will operate on a remote learning day tomorrow, Monday, January 26, 2026, for all students and staff.

Teachers sent home assignments on Friday in anticipation of possible remote instruction.

Important reminders for families:

• There will be no live/virtual instruction

• Students will have five school days to submit remote learning assignments

• Students are not expected to work for hours at a time or follow a traditional school-day schedule

• Short, manageable work periods, breaks as needed, and time with family are encouraged

State law allows school districts to use up to five remote instruction days per year during inclement weather without requiring days to be made up.

Thank you for your continued support as we prioritize the safety of our students and staff.

There is still time to share the love with a staff member at Floyd L Knight. The survey will remain open until February first. This is the great way to shout out a great IEP meeting, a smile first thing in the morning, or a constant person your child talks about.
