Good evening! Bus 17 students will be picked up by their normal bus driver, Mrs Cooper, in a substitute bus #1114 tomorrow morning. The bus driver and pick up times are the same.
This week our Cooking with Kindness club will be hosting a school wide inclusive campaign. This week will focus on promoting the inclusiveness of all students, creating friendships with everyone in the building, and supporting each individual and their needs. Students will be learning about inclusiveness during their library resource time throughout the week. Please join the club in supporting inclusiveness by wearing some blue on Wednesday, March 12th!!
Congratulations to all of our students, whose art work, is being exhibited at the Mann Center this month! Their opening is today and families can go see the art work during the Mann Center's normal business hours!

We are selling raffle tickets to fundraise money for Mr Jorge, one of our ESL teachers this month! On October 15, Mr Jorge was in a car accident on his way to school. The Joy for Jorge team is raising money for his hospital bills and other associated expenses. Check out some of the great items that are being raffled off! Next week, we will be celebrating Read Across America! Join us in this reading based spirit week! We will also have spring picture day on Thurday March 6- so make sure to bring in your money for any class pictures. Class pictures are pre-paid and money is due by 3/5.
Thank you to the transportation department for hosting the annual bus banquet tonight! We celebrated all of our bus drivers, monitors, sub drivers, front office staff who help with buses, and of course, our bus driver of the year! Thank you for everything that you do! Some of our bus drivers and admin enjoyed the Deep River tradition to get some dessert as a group the night of the banquet! 💚💙🐊🚌
Hello families! Here is the March menu for breakfast and lunch!
Deep River will have our Check Ins #3 over the next couple of weeks. We will have Physical Science Check Ins for Grade 5 on March 4, ELA for Grades 3 to 5 on March 18th, Math for Grades 3 to 5 on March 20, and Earth Science for Grade 5 on April 2nd. Students will have to make up their Check In so we do encourage all students to be present on test day. If you have any questions, then please contact Ms. Monjar at elaynemonjar@lee.k12.nc.us.

Today for the CTE spirit week, Fix It Plumbing was sure represented at Deep River! Thank you to all of our local companies, who have donated their time and resources to support Deep River!
Deep River is participating in LCS's CTE Spirit Week this week! We will also celebrate Jamaica Day on Friday, February 28 in honor of our two wonderful teachers from Jamaica, Mrs. Williams-Hinds & Ms. Malhodo! We look forward to seeing everyone in their PJs tomorrow!
