Bus 75 is back on the road headed towards Cox Mill Road. The delay was much shorter than expected. Apologies for any inconvenience.
Bus 75 is delayed about 30 to 45 minutes this afternoon due to a mechanical issue. We will send a message when the bus is on the road.
💻 The NC Check-Ins are assessments designed to track student progress in key subjects like math, reading, and science. They help teachers identify areas where students may need additional support before the end-of-year tests.
🙌🏻 Encourage your children to give their best effort during the NC Check-Ins. Remind them that these assessments are an opportunity to see how much they’ve learned and to grow in areas that need more attention.
🐾 A positive attitude and effort can make a big difference!
Reminder for the Season: Our Lost & Found Rack is filling up fast! 😯 If your child has misplaced anything, please remind them to take a moment to check it out soon before it gets too crowded. Items left unclaimed may eventually be donated. Thanks for helping us keep things organized 😊
The Broadway Wildcats’ Honorable Mention Teacher of the Month is
kind and supportive. This teacher came into this country with little
knowledge how different her world back home is from our Broadway
world. She hasn’t let the adjustments defy her. She has grasped new
material and shown progress for herself and her students.
Congratulations to the teacher of the month, Keyla Acosta!
The Broadway Wildcats’ Honorable Mention Staff of the Month goes
above and beyond with a heart of gold (working more hours past the
norm.) This staff member organizes tutors and assists the program in
any way needed. She is wonderful with her expertise in keeping up with
MTSS paperwork. Congratulations to the staff of the month, Lynda
Cummings!

Broadway Elementary is filled with gratitude this season! Each day brings smiles, hugs, learning, and exciting adventures. The school walls are beautifully decorated with students’ work, and creative ‘turkeys in disguise’ are adding a festive touch for Thanksgiving.
Today, we celebrated ‘Treatsgiving,’ sharing delicious food, pies, and thank-you cards with our amazing staff to show our appreciation for everything they do. We are so thankful for our incredible school community!
Thanksgiving Break
The second-grade students had a special virtual visit from Colombia through Zoom. Luis Soriano, the founder of Biblioburro, joined them. The Biblioburro (The Donkey Library) is a traveling library that distributes books to children from the backs of two donkeys, Alfa and Beto. The program was created in La Gloria, Colombia, by Luis Soriano.
The students had the opportunity to ask questions and learn more about his amazing initiative to inspire children to learn and go on adventures through reading.
