Southern Lee High School Celebrates a Statewide Honor
Southern Lee High School is proud to congratulate Andrew Diemer, advisor of the Southern Lee Outdoorsman’s Club, on being named the 2026 NC Youth Outdoor Engagement Commission Trailblazers Club Advisor of the Year.
Presented at the Trailblazers Outdoor Club Advisor Conference and Retreat, this prestigious recognition honors Andrew’s “Exceptional Advocacy, Leadership, and Commitment to Ensuring Students Have Equal Access to the Outdoors.” With more than 100 outdoor clubs across North Carolina, being selected for this award is an extraordinary achievement and a testament to the impact he has on students both inside and outside the classroom.
Through his passion, dedication, and servant leadership, Andrew has become the heart and soul of the Southern Lee Outdoorsman’s Club. He continually creates opportunities for students to explore the outdoors, develop confidence, learn new skills, and build lasting connections with nature and one another. His commitment to ensuring every student has access to these experiences embodies the very spirit of the Trailblazers program.
