Applications Now Open for the 2026 North Carolina Governor’s School!
Lee Early College is excited to announce that applications are now open for the North Carolina Governor’s School, a prestigious summer residential program for gifted and talented high school students from across the state.
The NC Governor’s School offers rising seniors the opportunity to explore advanced studies in academic and artistic disciplines—including areas such as English, Mathematics, Natural Science, Social Science, Art, Choral Music, Instrumental Music, and Theater. Students engage in intensive learning experiences that encourage creativity, critical thinking, and a lifelong love of learning—all within a vibrant campus community.
Selected students will attend the program during the summer of 2026 at one of two campuses: Governor’s School East (Meredith College, Raleigh) or Governor’s School West (Winston-Salem State University, Winston-Salem).
Interested students should speak with Ms. Jackson, Ms. Smith or Dr. Timberlake for application materials, eligibility requirements, and submission deadlines.
