Students entering Kindergarten have entry requirements that include the appropriate type of vaccine administrations and the correct number of doses for the student's age. NC Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) has set up a new online dashboard to help parents determine the vaccine requirements for their child's entry to Kindergarten.
You can visit their dashboard by clicking here and review the graphic below provided by NCDHHS and the Lee County Health Department.

We are BEYOND thankful for the Lemon Springs Ruritan Club! Today they joined our custodial crew and administrators to clean ALL of our desks and chairs that have been stored on the patios during our floor installation this summer! They also applied felt tabs purchased by our PTO to each piece to help preserve the new flooring. Thank you to Mrs. McBurnett for coordinating!

We have noticed several back-to-school deals in stores and online! Here are the 2024-2025 Hornet Supply Lists!

Parents and students, mark your calendars now for the 2024-2025 Open House at each of our traditional calendar schools across the district! We can't wait to see you back on campus soon. #LCSthrive

Hey Hornets! Meet your new P.E. Teacher!

Say Hello to Mrs. Smith!

Greenwood received a very generous donation this week from Martin Marietta. The check was presented to Mr. Caywood by Tim Elkins, Plant Manager of the Lemon Springs quarry. Greenwood is extremely thankful for the continued support from our Lemon Springs neighbors!

We are thrilled to announce that for the 2024-2025 school year, ALL students in ALL schools will receive FREE breakfast and lunch!
This incredible initiative ensures that every student can focus on learning, growing, and thriving without worrying about meals. Let's celebrate a year of educational success and well-nourished minds! Read more at https://bit.ly/LeeCoCEP

A HUGE shout out to this group of Hornet Leaders that made our Summer Achievement Program a success! And an even bigger cheer for our students and their families! We are so proud of you!

Bridge to Kindergarten will be held July 30-August 1 from 8:00 am -11:00 am at your child's assigned elementary school. It is free for students to participate and provides each student the opportunity to get familiar with their new school, the staff, and prepare them for the upcoming transition.
Your child must be registered for Kindergarten in order to attend the Bridge to Kindergarten Program. If you need to enroll your child in Lee County Schools, please visit https://ncleec.scriborder.com/family.

Today Mr. Chaney spoke to all of our fifth grade Hornets as they prepare for their middle school adventures! So many great memories with this group! Fly high Hornets! We are so proud of each of you!

SO many celebrations at Greenwood this week! Here is a glimpse into our AR party that was also in progress today! Go Hornets!
