WageWorks administers Lee County School’s Medical Reimbursement Savings Accounts
ATTENTION: Below are new regulations that medical reimbursement savings account participants need to consider which affect Over-the-Counter medications and other non-prescription items
The recently enacted Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act will change the way over-the-counter medications and other non-prescription items are reimbursed through flexible spending accounts, health savings accounts and health reimbursement arrangements. Beginning Jan. 1, pain relievers, cough medicines, acid controllers, allergy medicines and more will require a prescription or letter of medical necessity from a physician to be eligible for reimbursement. Be prepared to answer customer’s questions. For additional information regarding medical reimbursements, please refer to http://www.takecarewageworks.com
