Feedback On School Re-Opening for 2021-2022 School Year

Upon receiving ESSER III COVID relief funding from the Federal Government, school districts are required to post information regarding the reopening timeline of schools and seek feedback and suggestions as we look to the 2021-2022 school year. Since March of 2020, Lee County Schools has worked diligently to continue the educational process while balancing the safety of our students and staff. Listed below are the dates that students returned to in-person instruction during the 2020-2021 school year. Students participated in virtual learning on dates not listed below.
October 5, 2020: Pre-K-1 students returned 2 days per week
October 12, 2020: Grades 2-3 students returned 2 days per week
October 19, 2020: Grades 4-8 students returned 2 days per week
October 26, 2020: K-2 students returned 4 days per week
February 22, 2021: 3rd grade students and 4-5 grade EC students returned 4 days per week
March 1, 2021: 9-12 students returned 2 days per week
April 6, 2021: 4-5 grade students returned 4 days per week
April 12, 2021: 6-12 students returned 4 days per week
With all suggested health and safety protocols in place, the district has successfully reopened for in-person learning five days per week. In addition to providing our reopening timeline above, school districts are required to post this information and receive feedback from the community over the next several weeks.
