Superintendent and Board of Education agree to a mutual parting of ways

The Lee County Board of Education and Superintendent, Dr. Andy Bryan, have mutually agreed to a separation in which Dr. Bryan has submitted his resignation effective May 9, 2023, and the Board of Education has accepted it. Dr. Bryan has worked in the Lee County Schools since 2006 and has served as the Superintendent since 2013. The Board thanks Dr. Bryan for his many years of service to the school district and wishes him the best in his future endeavors.

Dr. Bryan is very grateful to the staff, students, parents, and community for their support of Lee County Schools during his time as superintendent. He is very proud of the many student and staff accomplishments and wishes Lee County Schools the very best moving forward.

Dr. Chris Dossenbach has been named interim superintendent. He was serving in the district as Assistant Superintendent of Curriculum & Instruction prior to assuming the interim role.
