LEC students participate in Phi Beta Lambda National Leadership Conference

The CCCC Phi Beta Lambda Chapter participated in the National Leadership Conference in June.

SANFORD — Lee Early College students in the Central Carolina Community College Phi Beta Lambda Chapter participated in the National Leadership Conference this summer in Texas.

During the June 23-27 San Antonio, Texas conference, the CCCC PBL Chapter received national recognition with the following honors: Gold Seal, Gold Star, The Leadership Legacy Award and Career and Membership Achievement Program Outstanding Chapter.

Eighteen CCCC PBL members — 12 of which are LEC students — qualified for the national event after qualifying by finishing first or second in his or her event at the State Leadership Conference in Charlotte. All 12 LEC students placed among the top nationally in 13 events, and 11 of them placed in two events in the Top 10.

The following LEC students placed:

3rd Place — Integrated Marketing Plan — Sarah Salvador

4th Place — Economic Analysis & Decision Making — Ashley Quincin and Mackenzie Roche

4th Place — Parliamentary Procedure — Shishir Desai, Carolina Moscoso, Faith Richmond and Ellen White

5th Place — Computer Animation — Aiden McLaughlin

7th Place — Business Sustainability — Shishir Desai and Mackenzie Roche

8th Place — Financial Services — Carolina Moscoso, Faith Richmond and Ellen White

8th Place — Parliamentary Procedure — Suzy Brito, Samantha Cochran, Jennifer Hernandez and Aiden McLaughlin

9th Place — Justice Administration — Ashley Quincin

10th Place — Social Media Challenge — Suzy Brito and Jennifer Hernandez
