For Parents/Students/Community
Welcome, parents and students! We hope the links above will help you stay up-to-date on the happenings at Lee Early College.
Here is a brief description of the links in the Parents and Students section of our website:
Cougarmail is the e-mail service provided to all LEC students via CCCC. CougarMail usernames are the first initial of the student's first name, the first four letters of the student's last name, and the last three numbers of the student's CCCC student ID. Unless the student has changed their password, the student's password is their birthday in MMDDYY format.
BlackBoard is a web-based course-management system used by CCCC instructors and LEC staff. This system provides students with lesson, homework and grading information for each course throughout the year. Just like their Cougarmail email account username, the BlackBoard username is the first initial of the student's first name, the first four letters of the student's last name, and the last three numbers of the student's CCCC student ID. If a student forgets his/her BlackBoard password, they should click the Forgot you Password? link just below the login fields on the main BlackBoard page. The password will be resent to the student's CougarMail account. Unfortunately, at this time parents cannot be issued individual Blackboard accounts.
NCVPS BlackBoard is provided by the North Carolina Virtual Public High School for students taking online high school courses.
Study Island and USA Test Prep are online study programs utilized by various faculty members at LEC.
The Parent Assist Module is a link to information about how to log into the NCWise in order to check your child's grades.
The PTSO link will take you to our PTSO's homepage.
PTSO President
Marti Walton
I am Marti Walton and I am proud to serve as Lee Early College's
PTSO President. I am currently in my 17th year at Lee County Schools, BUT Lee Early College will forever be near and dear to my heart as I was employed there from 2014-2018. My most significant achievements by far are my two children. My oldest, Harley, is now a Freshman at LEC, so it's gratifying to see it all come back full circle, and from a parents perspective. My toddler, Colton, is in preschool and keeps us all on the edge of our seats.
As your PTSO President, I am committed to creating unforgettable moments for our students and staff while ensuring they have everything they need to be triumphant this school year. I'm excited to meet you all at upcoming events and volunteer opportunities, where we can "Learn, Earn, and Conquer" together!
PTSO Vice President
Malila O'Neal
I am a proud mother of three wonderful kids, Aiden O'Neal being one of them. My family is completed by our furry and amphibious friends:
4 cats, 3 dogs, 4 frogs, and a trusty rat. With over 18 years of dedicated service in the US Army, I've learned the values of discipline, commitment, and teamwork.
Looking ahead, I am excited to take on the role of Vice President of the PTSO (Parent-Teacher-
Student Organization). My goal is to wholeheartedly support the teachers, students, and staff,
fostering a thriving educational community that benefits everyone.
Thrift Store Representative
Rachel Sindelir
We moved here from Arizona two years ago, where I was active volunteering at all of my kids' schools and enjoyed leading a Girl Scout Troop. My husband and I have 5 kids that attend Lee County Schools. Our oldest son, Ryan Sindelir, is a freshman at Lee Early College, and we enjoy the smaller school environment and close-knit school community.
I work at Fort Liberty as a Contracting Officer and love supporting our military service men and women. I am looking forward to helping the teachers, students, and amazing PTSO leadership you have.
