Title 1 Parent Involvement Policy

Greenwood Elementary is a Title 1 school. So what does Title 1 mean? It means that our school receives Federal money based on our free/reduced lunch student numbers. The money is used to improve academic achievement. Title 1 funds are used to hire personnel, improve curriculum, provide needed resources to access learning, provide targeted intervention, enhance parent involvement and extend learning time for students who need extra help. These opportunities are provided to students throughout the school.
