Inclusive Preschool Program
About Our Program
Lee County Schools offer preschool services for children with identified developmental delays through its Developmental Day Center which is housed at Floyd L. Knight School. Because of the commitment to inclusive education, "typically developing" children are included in each of the preschool classes. Openings are available for "typically developing" preschoolers the year before they go to Kindergarten (they must be 4 by August 31). This is an excellent opportunity for top notch childcare and preschool instruction with certified teachers. The school day runs from 8:00 am to 2:30 pm.
Preschool Opportunity
The Preschool Program housed at Floyd L. Knight School centers on a philosophy that adheres to environmental and experiential enrichment and follows the course of normal development.
