Parent Portal

Parent Portal allows parents to access student information via any Internet connection. Parent Portal uses web access to serve the family and improve the effectiveness of the communication between teachers and parents. Using the Parent Portal is totally voluntary. The parent portal is a great way for parents to access grades at any time. Key benefits of parent portal are increased home-school communication, increased parent involvement, and real-time student progress reporting (7 days a week, 24 hours a day). With Parent Portal, you have access to your child’s: attendance, assignments, grade history, current progress, and student schedules. The parent of any student trying out for a sport must have a parent portal account. Please contact Kimberly Vega at kvega.elms@lee.k12.nc.us or 919-776-8441 if you need assistance.

Canvas

Lee County Schools uses Canvas, a user-friendly learning tool connecting students, teachers, and parents. Students manage assignments, tests, discussions, and more daily, while parents track grades, upcoming tasks, and can message teachers instantly.

2024-2025 East Lee Bus Routes

School bus safety is paramount for ensuring the well-being of students during their commute to and from school. Parents and students should adhere to important safety tips such as waiting at designated bus stops, standing back from the curb, and refraining from running or playing near the roadway. It's crucial for students to board and exit the bus in an orderly fashion, follow the instructions of the bus driver, and remain seated while the bus is in motion. For any inquiries, please email Jenee Peace, Assistant Principal of East Lee Middle School, at Jeneepeace@lee.k12.nc.us.

Here Comes the Bus LCS

Lee County Schools has launched the "Here Comes the Bus" app to help provide real-time information on your student's bus route. Check out the full instructions by clicking on the graphic above!

PTSO

The East Lee Middle School PTSO works as a partnership with our school. As a PTSO, we coordinate fundraising throughout the year and volunteer with school activities. Funds raised go directly to the school to enhance your child's education. Whether you participate as a volunteer or a supporter of our fundraisers, you are making a difference. Join us today and attend upcoming PTSO Meetings to support our school.

The mission of the East Lee PTSO is simple: To enhance the educational and extracurricular experiences for all children at East Lee Middle School. One way in which we do this is through advocacy. The PTSO provides a collaborative “voice” for parents, teachers, and students of our district to ensure quality school experiences in the face of tightening school budgets.

In addition to advocacy, the PTSO’s mission involves raising money to support well-balanced educational experiences. Through productive fundraising, we have been able to provide a number of opportunities that would otherwise NOT exist in our district.  We ask that as a parent or guardian of a child at East Lee Middle School, you become involved to ensure the continued success of the PTSO in our school.

  • Students age 12-18 must be accompanied by a parent to work

  • No students under 12 years old can work

  • One student per adult working

  • Parents, other family members, and friends can work in a student’s name.

  • May be asked to sweep, hang clothes, straighten racks, etc.

  • Profits from PTO Thrift Shop go to Lee County Schools

  • We must have 150 minimum hours to qualify for any disbursements of funds.

There is a way to earn an hour for plastic bag return. If you are interested in this please email rnewby.elms@lee.k12.nc.us about the details and requirements.
