Graduation Requirements
High School graduation in the Lee County Public School System requires completion of all requirements set by the State Board of Education. The Lee County Board of Education recommends completion of twenty-eight (28) units of high school credit over four years in order to earn a diploma. A four-year high school experience provides students with an opportunity to expand their academic pursuits and interests.
Students that want to be accelerated will have to commit, as noted in the registration guide, for a fast track prior to entering 9th grade. Students that will not meet the 28 will not receive an Alternative Diploma any longer but will have a record of the modified graduation track being communicated to the parent. This will be updated in regulation.
The policy will be finalized and updated in the board policies in March. Any additional updates will be communicated!
