• Welcome Meet the Teacher!

My name is Kim Dakdouk.  This is my 25th year teaching! I love my job and I love my students.  I have taught all of my years (plus my student teaching year) at
    J. R. Ingram Elementary School.  Before I remarried, my last name was Himes.  I still have students and parents call me Mrs. Himes.  I have been married for 3 years to the best husband ever.  Together we have three children.  My son, Cameron, is a junior at Appalachian State University.  We live next door to my mom on a horse farm.  I love spending time with my family and hanging out on the farm.

We have a very active classroom.  We like to have fun while we are learning.  I have very high expectations.  I expect my students to always try their hardest and to always have a reason for what they are doing.  We think, think, think!  I expect great things from my students.   I tell my students that once you are one of my children, you are always one of my children. It is okay not to know, but it's not okay to not try!
