Hello, my name is Arlene Grady. I am so excited to join your school family. Here is a little bit about me.
I have a Bachelor of Arts in Art Education from the University of North Carolina at Pembroke and am working on my Master of School Administration degree from Campbell University.
I started my career at Fairmont Middle School in Robeson County, where I was an art teacher for five years before moving to Spring Hill Middle School and becoming an art teacher there. I have been the head coach of girls' basketball, volleyball, and softball teams and was named teacher of the year in 2020. After ten years of teaching art and coaching students of various ages and backgrounds, I decided to further my education and pivot from a classroom teacher to pursue a career in administration.
I am excited to work closely with teachers, staff, and the community to create a safe and inclusive learning environment where all students can thrive and reach their full potential while fostering a culture of respect, kindness, and learning.
I enjoy creating artwork, shopping, and exploring new cultures through travel in my free time. I am grateful for the opportunities that have led me to where I am today, and look forward to continuing to positively impact the lives of students and fellow educators.
