My name is Sally Long and I am honored to serve Sanlee Middle School as an Assistant Principal and Academic Coach. I am originally from South Carolina, but have lived in North Carolina for the past twenty-three years. Not only am I an educator, but I am also the mom to Abby who is a sophomore in high school and to Shawn who attends GTCC.

This year marks my twenty-seventh year in education. I earned my Bachelor of Science degree in Education from Lander University followed by a Master’s degree in education from Grand Canyon University. I recently graduated from The University of North Carolina Greensboro with a Master’s in Education Administration. The majority of my career has been in Guilford County Schools where I was a middle school Language Arts teacher. I have also served as a middle school teacher in Rockingham County Schools.

I am looking forward to working collaboratively with teachers and parents to ensure our students are growing in the classroom. I firmly believe that all students can excel and the partnership between school and home helps build the confidence in our students to help shape their future.
