Welcome to 2nd Grade!
My name is Ashleigh Sledge. This is my 5th year of teaching, but my first year at JR Ingram!
I received my Bachelors of Science in Elementary Education from Appalachian State University in 2017. My concentration is in music, so my classroom will always have an educational song or concentration music playing.
I do not have any children of my own, but will treat your child as my own. I have 2 fur babies, Callie and Fiona, and my students hear about them a lot!
I set high expectations for my students. I believe that each child that walks through my room is capable of reaching their goals, and I work with my students to create short term and life term goals.
My goal is to create lifelong learners in my classroom, as well as, providing a safe and welcoming atmosphere for learning.
