I was raised in Sanford, NC, and am thrilled to be back teaching at my home high school, LCHS! I am a proud Meredith College graduate, with a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics, 6-9 and 9-12 teaching licensures, and a Dance Studies minor. At Meredith, I was a Teaching Fellow, the president of Meredith Jazz and Tap Company, and involved in many many other things on campus! My favorite things (besides teaching math!) are spending time with my friends and family, dancing, and going to Disney World!! The past year and half I lived in Orlando and worked for several theme parks. I have taught math at Athens Drive High School and East Wake Academy. I was a cheerleading coach at Martin Middle for 2 years, and am currently a dance instructor. My goal as a teacher is to get my students excited about engaging in mathematical conversations and encourage curiosity in mathematics that goes beyond memorizing material. I want my students to feel safe, motivated, and encouraged in my classroom. Every student is capable of succeeding and enjoying mathematics, and I will do my part to show them this! Go Jackets!
