Ms. M. Brewer

Dear Tiger Families,

I am beyond excited to be serving as your Assistant Principal.  I love teaching and learning!  I look forward to working with you all on making WBW the best school in Lee County. I have my Masters of Education in Curriculum and Instruction: Leadership from Liberty University.  I completed my undergraduate degree in Elementary Education at UNC-Greensboro and hold a NC Teaching License for Principal (K-12), Elementary Education (K-6) and I am AIG Certified (K-12).

I have 18 years of educational experience in Lee County.  Before becoming a Tiger, I was a Rocket, spending six years as assistant principal at East Lee Middle School (2013-2019). I love East Lee and it will always have a special place in my heart.  Prior to East Lee I completed the Sandhills Leadership Academy Executive Intern Program and was an executive intern at B.T. Bullock in 2012-2013.  I taught 5th Grade at Deep River Elementary from 2004-2012.

I am a product of Lee County Schools from Kindergarten through Twelfth grade.   I attended Bragg Street Elementary for Kindergarten and first through fifth grade at J. Glenn Edwards Elementary. I then went to East Lee for grades 6-8 and graduated from Lee Senior (now known as Lee County High School).  It was the education I received in Lee County that inspired me to become a teacher.  It was the wonderful teachers and administrators that have helped me continue my educational career.  I know the impact teachers, administrators and schools have on students and their lives. The educators in my life made a huge difference. I want to give children those same opportunities I had.    School is a life-changing place and I want to use my knowledge and experience to positively impact our school and community.

Throughout my experience I have and always will believe in building relationships with staff, students and families.  I  know that strong relationships make a school productive and powerful.  I want you to know, I am at W.B. Wicker Elementary for children.  I am here to grow children, our school and our community.  I will embrace and support all that enter; students, their families, our staff and community members. I will  make decisions FOR what’s BEST for children and their futures. We will work together to set goals, celebrate our successes and always look for ways we can learn and grow to ensure a bright future for our students.

Please feel free to reach out if I can be of any assistance to you!
