My name is Misty Proctor. I have been on the First Grade Team at W.B. Wicker for three years. This is my fifth year teaching in Lee County. Prior to teaching in the classroom, I worked for 17 years in the NC Early Intervention Program serving birth to three year olds with special needs. 

I am currently enrolled in a Master's Program for Reading and Literacy. I believe a teacher's greatest accomplishment is to be a positive influece in helping children to become lifelong readers. 

Outside of the classroom, you can find me spening time with my family and our three dogs or reading a book. I believe that all people are capable of great things and in my classroom I love teaching children the power of the word "yet" in all things tehy are working towards.
