Welcome to J.R. Ingram! After growing up in Lexington, NC, I moved to Greensboro, NC to attend the University of North Carolina at Greensboro as a North Carolina Teaching Fellow. I graduated in 2002 with a Bachelors of Science in Elementary Education. After teaching in the Guilford County Schools System; I returned to UNC-G as a North Carolina Principal Fellows and graduated with a Masters in School Administration before coming to J.R. Ingram in 2010. I served two years as the assistant principal before becoming the principal in 2012. I recently graduated from Gardner-Webb University with my doctoral degree in Educational Leadership.
As principal of J.R. Ingram, Jr. Elementary School, my mission is to give all students that walk into the doors of our school the best opportunity to succeed in their futures. I want to help them achieve their goals and fulfill their dreams. I want to lead them to learn to lead themselves in life. I believe every child has the potential for greatness and my mission is to help connect them to that greatness. I hope you will find Ingram to be as special of a place as I do! The staff, families, students, and entire school community are amazing and I am truly blessed to be a part of the Ingram school community!
