MEET THE COUNSELOR

 

I am honored to begin another year as the School Counselor of J. Glenn Edwards Elementary School!  I was born and raised in Sanford, NC.  I attended Deep River Elementary School, East Lee Middle School and Lee County High School. I received both my undergraduate and graduate degrees from North Carolina Central University   (EAGLEPRIDE) and obtained my National Board Certification for Teachers in 2011!  

I enjoy reading, watching sports, spending time with family and writing children books.  I published my first book, Someday... June 2019, my second book, "Go On, Girl!" July 2020 and my 3rd book, "Malik and Mya: The Career Day Quest in January 2022.

I truly enjoy working with children and  I am excited for the opportunity to guide them on their journey to becoming future leaders with great character!
