    Dear Students and Parents/Guardians,
Welcome back to another year in your child’s school career! I hope to instill a love of learning that will last throughout your child's years of schooling. It is extremely important to keep in mind that we all build on small successes.  Each child will progress at his/her own rate, acquiring skills at his or her own pace. Maintaining each child's self-esteem and building a secure foundation for future growth will always remain a priority in my classroom. For each unit your child will be responsible for identifying the key concepts, completing homework assignments, taking quizzes, and unit exams.
It is vital that your child complete all assignments in full on time, and study/review material on a daily basis. These things will help lead to success. Also your child’s education can be greatly enhanced by their parents' involvement. You are just as important to your child’s overall success as I am. Make sure to celebrate your child's success, no matter how small it may seem. This will keep your child enthusiastic about learning and proud of their work!
If you have ANY questions please feel free to call me at 919-776-8441 ext. 1335 or by e-mail at mjeansonne.elms@lee.k12.nc.us. I will get back to you as soon as possible.
