Course Information
Earth/Environmental Science
In EES, we will get an overview of many different sciences. This includes geology, ecology, astronomy, meterology, and oceanography. Duirng the course of the semester students will learn how to predict weather, how Earth moves through space, how do we prepare for natural disaters, and the environmental impact our activities have. In EES we use interactive notebooks with foldables and images.
Students will need a sprial or composition notebook. We also complete vocabulary activities on notecards so students will need a pack of notecards.

Biology
Biology is the study of life! We will cover everything from a single cell to the classification of all living things. Students will learn how our bodies break down foods to use fats, carbohydrates, and protein into building blocks, how plants use photosynthesis to create their own food, and balance within out bodies. In Biology we will use interactive notebooks with foldables and images.
Students will need a spiral or composition notebook. We also complete vocabulary activities on notecards so students wil need a pack of notecards for class.

Marine Science
Marine science is the study of the ocean and all of the life found within it. In marine science we will learn about properties of water, the different kinds of plants and animals in the ocean, and environmental issues facing the ocean. Students will get to take care of a saltwater aquarium with marine animals living in them. We will also perform dissections to learn about the structures of many marine animals.
Students will need a spiral or composition notebook.
