My name is MaryCatherine Patterson and this is my seventh year working in Lee County at JGE. I am from New York and am currently enjoying my time in Sanford. While I was in New York, I received my bachelor’s in Psychology and Elementary Education. I then continued my education and received my master’s in Special Education as well as Literacy. I started my career as a substitute teacher, continued on as a permanent substitute, and then became a teaching assistant in a self-contained class. Now I am a special education teacher and I absolutely love what I do. I love to work with students to help them achieve their goals and their dreams! While I am not teaching, I enjoy going to the beach, baking, painting, reading, and visiting with my family!
