It's no secret that education
is the key to success, not
only for people but for
entire communities, as well.
Good, healthy schools
that produce a highly
qualified workforce lead
directly to economic
development and a better
quality of life for everyone.
That's precisely what
Lee County JobReady does,
and that's why this
effort is so essential.
Economic DevelopmentHelp Our Students Be JobReady!

Let a Student Watch You Work. Do you have a skill or trade that you'd like to share? Short-term job shadowing allows you to pass along your own wisdom and gives students a chance to explore careers and refine their interests. And in some cases, these experiences have changed lives.

About Lee County JobReady
Created in 1996, the Lee County JobReady Partnership Council is a grassroots organization supporting career and technical education in middle and high schools. The council is affiliated with Lee County Schools and works closely in partnership with Central Carolina Community College, Lee County Economic Development and other local organizations.
Members locate and arrange apprenticeships, internships, job shadowing and other educational opportunities for students outside of the classroom. They also serve in many other ways — speaking in the classroom, organizing field trips or volunteering to assist with various academic projects.
Quarterly meetings keep members up-to-date on the latest needs and trends. While the agenda varies, gatherings usually feature leaders from the schools, community college, area business, local governments and civic groups.
Working through student organizations, JobReady helps students participate in real-world competitions, leadership-building events and career development activities. Those groups include DECA, FCCLA, FBLA, FFA, HOSA, Skills USA-VICA and TSA.
Our membership, according to state law, also serves as the official advisory council for theLee County Schools Career and Technical Education program.
Lee County JobReady Partnership Council is a charitable, nonprofit organization, as recognized by Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. Contributions are tax deductible. Please consult your tax professional for guidance.
