LCHS graduate Elizabeth Vasquez address 2500 educators from across the nation at the 2017 AVID Summer Institute in Philadelphia.  She also presented the same speech at the Lee County Schools 2017 Convocation.

Cristian Silva, a senior at Southern Lee High School, spoke to all the staff of Lee County Schools prior to the 2015-16 school year. He spoke about his life story and how being inspired by teachers and the AVID program helped him through.
