Welcome to Math 2!

My name is Sandra Barnstead.  I teach Math 2 and this is my third year with Lee County High School.  I will be teaching virtually while Samantha Dowdy is physically in the classroom.  We are both here to help students and answer questions.  I am looking forward to a great year!

Before teaching at LCHS I worked in Spotsylvania, VA where I taught Middle School Math, Algebra 1, and Geometry.  Although math wasn't always my favorite subject while in school, I immediately found a passion for teaching it while student teaching.  There are so many different ways to approach math problems and I love to help people find a method that works best for them.  After 18 years of teaching, I see math everywhere and I encourage others to look for it as well!
