My name is Chadra McLaughlin and I am excited about teaching American History again this year. I grew up in Sanford, NC and graduated from LCHS in 1995. I taught here from 2004 to 2007. After spending several years working in other fields, I came back to the classroom in 2020.

I hold a BA in History from Greensboro College. I have worked as a Museum Educator at Mordecai Historic Park, Biltmore Estate, and Walt Disney World. 

I have three children. Payton graduated from UNC in May. Go Tar Heels! Piper and Christopher are in the 3rd and 5th grades at MINA Charter School.
