• What is AVID? AVID Elementary is a functional component of the AVID college readiness system. AVID (Advancement Via Individual Determination) has a mission to close the achievement gap by preparing all students for college readiness and success in a global society.
     
    The components are:
    1. student success skills
    2. organizational skills
    3. WICOR (writing, inquiry, collaboration, organization, reading)
    4. partnerships

    WANTED:  For our AVID alumni wall, we need pictures of former Broadway students who are now or have been in college or military. Pictures with the individual at the college mascot or signage (or in military uniform) would be preferable.
