Since the Governor’s closure of schools began on Monday, we have worked to protect the health of our community by limiting the person-to-person interaction of students, parents, and employees within our schools and enacted our plan for employees to work remotely from home. I want to share where we find ourselves today and give you an idea of what lies ahead.
The LCS Curriculum Boosters website for Lee County Schools is now live! Here is the website link:http://bit.ly/LCSCurricul
In collaboration with teachers throughout the district, this remote learning opportunity was developed to provide students and families access to quality learning experiences in the event of a school closure. The coursework on this site may be used to supplement assignments provided by individual teachers through various digital platforms such as Canvas, Google Classroom or a students' LCS GMail account. This does not take the place of assignments/activities provided by individual teachers for their students.
Our hope is to provide students, parents and our community with continued learning opportunities during this time of uncertainty. We will continue to update this site throughout the school closure and we encourage you to check back regularly.
We are very excited, proud and honored
to be able to announce that Joy Smith has been named
Lee County Schools Exceptional Children Teacher of Excellence
for the 2019/2020 school year!
Congratulations Mrs. Smith,
it is well deserved
All visitors must check in at the office in Building 2.
Please sign in and take a visitor’s pass when you arrive, sign out and return visitor’s pass when you leave. This procedure will help us to make sure this campus is safe for you and your child.
If you'd like to have lunch with your child, please let his/her teacher know at least a day in advance.
If you want to observe in a classroom, call to arrange a time with the teacher and Principal. We suggest times when you may see the activities that you want to see the most. Thank you for your cooperation.
Although the campus is temporarily closed, “school” continues as we engage students with experiences that continue the planned learning program and help them to stay connected with teachers and classmates. These learning experiences offer opportunities to focus on key concepts, knowledge, and skills and involve a balance of on-screen and off-screen tasks that help connect to previous learning.
