Technology Department

The importance of technology in education is tremendous, and its impact is growing.   Lee County Schools is a 21st century school system that uses technology in tandem with learning. Students currently use Chromebooks to facilitate learning, research, project development and communication. Technology is a written component in teacher's lesson plans and students have the ability to complete coursework anywhere, anytime. Students will be engaged in responsible and relevant uses of technology. The opportunities are endless!

The Technology Department serves the district in the following ways:

  • Install and repair computer equipment in all schools.

  • Offer support to end users on both hardware and software.

  • Recommend appropriate technology solutions for educational and administrative purposes.

  • Increase student achievement by recommending methods and training teachers in areas of technology integration in the classroom.

  • Manage, support, and report on the system-wide student information management software program.

  • Secure Federal funding to help finance technology infrastructure needs.

LCSS 1:1 Computing

By instituting a 1:1 program at LCSS, ALL students will be given the opportunity to have access to technology in and out of school, to create using their own device, to establish personal learning networks, to communicate with others, to think globally and to discover new and innovative ways to develop skills for real world situations.
